RYSI Boys Basketball is entering its 15th season. This year the boys basketball program is open to 3rd – 8th grade boys who live or attend school in Basking Ridge. The 3rd grade team is a new option for 2025 and 3rd grade boys who are selected for the team will compete at the 4th grade level.  

The Boys Travel teams play in the Jersey Basketball League (www.jbl-hoops.com). Which includes over 500 basketball teams throughout the state of New Jersey. This is a very competitive league that brings the best competition throughout New Jersey. Although the JBL is split into levels of competition (Gold, Silver, and Bronze), all levels are competitive. RYSI teams are placed into the level that best matches the skill level of the specific team.  The cost will be $360.00

Saturday, October 4th and Sunday, October 5th @ William Annin Middle School (New Gym)

 

§  10:00 AM – 11:30 AM:    6th Grade Boys

§  11:30 AM – 1:00 PM:      7th Grade Boys

§    1:00 PM – 2:30 PM:      8th Grade Boys

§    3:00 PM – 4:00 PM:      3rd Grade Boys

§    4:00 PM – 5:00 PM:      4th Grade Boys

§    5:00 PM – 6:30 PM:      5th Grade Boys

 

The Saturday session will consist of skills and drills and the Sunday session will concentrate on scrimmaging at game speed.

In general tryouts will include:

·        Skills, drills, and fundamentals

·        Interest

·        Basketball knowledge

·        Game speed scrimmage
